Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoons sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg beaten
  • ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 ½ cups mashed ripened bananas approximately 5 medium
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray an 8x8-inch metal or ceramic baking pan and set aside.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas, egg, applesauce, sugar and melted butter. Mix well until combined.
  • Combine Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, stir flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon until combined.
  • Add flour mixture to wet ingredients and fold together with a spatula or large spoon. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the bread dense.
  • Bake: Pour the batter into your prepared pan 8x8 inch pan and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated 350°F oven for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool and Enjoy: Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 30 minutes. If you need to store it, wrap it in plastic wrap or aluminum foil to keep it fresh. Serve warm with a pat of butter, or simply enjoy it as is. This easy banana bread recipe is sure to please your taste buds.

Notes
